About Me

Hi, my name is Michelle Solomon, LICSW (she/her) and I look forward to working in collaboration with you on your mental health journey.

You’re in a place to do the healing work, and you want to feel happier and more like yourself again. My style is very collaborative, warm, and relational, with a bit of humor mixed in. It’s important that we can laugh and have fun together at the right moments, while meeting your needs and goals.

I specialize in working with adults with Bipolar Disorder, Stress and Burnout, and those Supporting Loved Ones in Crisis. I am very passionate about helping you make short and long-term improvements and gaining more tools to lead a happier quality of life. My clients usually tell me they appreciate my enthusiasm, energy, advocacy, and thoroughness. I strive to be as intentional as possible in our sessions to make sure you get the most out of our time together.

Please note: I am licensed in Washington State and can only provide therapy to clients located in Washington.

In my free time, I love spending time with my cat, Arrietty, backpacking, biking, volunteering with animals, traveling, and relaxing wherever I can find the sunshine.

Therapy for Everyone

As a cis white female social worker, I’m aware we may have different ethnic or racial backgrounds, and want to acknowledge the impact this has on your world and how you may show up in therapy. Because of this, I also recognize both the privilege and limitations in my lived experiences. I understand that the immense amount of systemic racism and oppression in the world is very activating and terrifying for many. I am committed to showing up as an ally and providing a culturally competent, social justice, and trauma-focused lens to you. My goal is to create a comfortable and safe environment for you. I also have an open door policy for any feedback you wish to provide.

I am LGBTQIA+ aligned and will always support and encourage you to explore your identities, process any gender dysphoria, help you get your needs met, and assist in finding inclusive healthcare, such as trans-affirming care. I will work alongside you to help challenge barriers and advocate for your needs whenever possible.
