Taking the First Step

Anxiety can feel overwhelming, unmanageable, and like a never-ending cycle for some. You may be feeling anxious from the daily demands and responsibilities you have, feel pressure from work or your relationships with others, or struggle with constant worrying. Maybe you are dealing with deeply rooted trauma and the anxiety that you experience from things that activate you in everyday life. Sometimes our thoughts also tell us we aren’t good enough and our self-esteem is negatively impacted. Anxiety can show up in many different ways. If you’ve identified with the symptoms above, you have come to the right place.

Taking steps to start therapy to address your anxiety during our session

How I Can Help:

We will work together to tackle your anxiety in a manageable way for you. It’s important to find the source of the anxiety and start identifying small areas in which to make improvements. I will help you prioritize which anxiety areas in your life to address first, and how to build on those over time. We’ll go at your own pace to make sure you’re comfortable, and take pauses whenever you need. I use elements of cognitive restructuring, mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and acceptance and commitment in our work together. My hope is to help you find ways to calm your mind and reduce any debilitating anxiety that gets in the way of achieving personal satisfaction, growth, and happiness in your own life.
